I have produced 20 plays (in as many years!) for children. I want to celebrate that with a festival in Umeå. I have invited professional puppet theatre groups from the northern hemisphere, and chosen performances that highlight the rich tradition of puppet theatre.

Puppet theatre or figure theatre, that the Norweigians call it, is a rising plant in the Swedish culture life. Puppets havs a unique way of speaking to us. A puppet is, in itself, a work of art, but it also has a life of its own. I want to invite you to come and meet living puppets telling their stories.
