This is a story-telling performance by one actress using different types of puppets, which have been made out of everyday objects. Also shadow puppetry on a drum-skin screen is used.

Two tales from the north:

The Little Reindeer Calf

A Sami story about the man and a woman who desperately longed for a child, but instead got an little reindeer calf. The calf grows up, and starts to long for the snow-capped mountains… A play about liberation and empowerment.

The Hare and the Snow

A story from the Mansi-culture, about a hare who falls in love with the snow, and loses his sweetheart when the spring comes. It also tells us how the hare got his white winter coat.
