Combining dance and object theatre

In this workshop we will examine the similarities and differences between object theatre and contemporary dance. We will also investigate the connections between an object and the body, and how to find new ways of approaching acting with objects based on one’s own movement qualities. The workshop centers around practical exercises on thg themes of: movement qualities of an unmoving object, the body as an object, dancing objects, simultaneously acting with an object and dancing.

The workshop is open to people of 16 years and up. No previous experience in dancing is necessary. Be sure to wear clothes you can comfortably move in.
